Lesson Plans 2/2-15/11

Standards:
SC.912.L.18.9 Explain the interrelated nature of photosynthesis and cellular respiration.
SC.912.L.18.8 Identify the reactants, products, and basic functions of aerobic and anaerobic cellular respiration.
Objectives:
1. Students can track the path of water through cellular respiration and photosynthesis.
2. Students can track the path of energy trans-formations in photosynthesis and respiration from light energy to mechanical energy in animals.
3. Students can identify the reactants, products, and basic functions of cellular respiration and photosynthesis.
4. Students can differentiate between aerobic and anaerobic cellular respiration.
Daily Essential Questions:
How is energy acquired and used by organisms?
Agenda
Engage: Skim/Scan (Sect 9-1 & 9-2)
Explore: Compare/Contrast of Chloroplast/Mitochondria
Explain: Teacher-led Discussion on Cellular Respiration/Photosynthesis
Extend: Understanding Concepts (Ch 8 & Ch 9)
Evaluate: Teacher observation, Common Assessment 3.1 (Feb 14 & 15)
Homework: Complete unfinished classwork
