Lesson Plans 9/21-24/10

Standard: SC.912.L.17.2 Explain the general distribution of life in aquatic ecosystems as a function of chemistry, geography, light, depth, salinity, and temperature.
Objective: Explain how particular factors influence what life is found in certain aquatic ecosystems and not others.
Daily Essential Question: What mechanisms does nature use to control population growth and how we predict future events?
Agenda
1. Engage - "Under the Sea"
2. Explore - Discuss "Under the Sea"
3. Explain - Review "Aquatic Ecosystems" (based on Section 4-4 in text)
4. Extend - Aquatic Ecosystems Part A
5. Evaluation - Teacher Observation of Part A, Class Discussion, and Part B Assessment.
Homework: Finish Aquatic Ecosystem Part A and do Part B (9/21-22/10 only).
